In July 2014, 6,536 migrants/refugees crossed into Yemen via the Red Sea (Djibouti) and the Arabian Sea (Somaliland/Puntland), a 5% increase from the migrants/refugees that reached Yemen in June 2014 and a 70% increase compared to the number of migrants/refugees that arrived in July 2013. Approximately 75% of the migrants who made the crossing in July were of Ethiopian origin while the rest were Somali.
